Untitled poetry

fall under night’s spell
seek peace in troubled darkness
while the wild returns

nature keeps vigil
cricket-song and mournful howl
your harsh serenade

teardrops on the roof
echo in chest-caverns where
liquid life surges

should the rain become
a shower of tears – then drink deep
and savour each pearl

draw them from wells of
that soul-nectar the gods crave
let them revive you

as twilight permits
that herald of dawn – night – to
kiss your heart awake
